A La Crosse man, possibly high on meth, caused quite the commotion in town early Sunday morning.

Geiwitz

Police were called to Monitor Street shortly before 3 a.m. for a man randomly screaming and running around.

At one point, a La Crosse officer saw 23-year-old Brian Geiwitz run up to a vehicle at a stoplight, lean into an open window and scream at the driver.

The vehicle took off with Geiwitz hanging onto the car, before falling off.

When police tried to arrest him, Geiwitz punched one officer in the face.

Once taken into custody, he was taken to Gundersen Health System. There, he, again, punched the same officer in the face.

Geiwitz has been released from jail on a signature bond, while he looks for a lawyer. His next court hearing is June 27.
