Water quality task force meets Thursday at UW-L

A state task force wants to be sure the quality of Wisconsin water remains high.

Good water has been a selling point for the La Crosse area for many years.

Commercials for Heileman’s Old Style beer called attention to the local water used for brewing.

State Rep. Todd Novak of Dodgeville chairs that committee. He’s heard some good news about preserving water at hearings already held in different parts of Wisconsin.

The Water Quality Task Force will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the UW-La Crosse Cleary Alumni Center to hear from interest groups and ordinary citizens, about how to improve the Wisconsin water.

The task force will conduct 12 hearings around the state and issue a report at the end of the summer.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
