President Donald Trump officially launches his campaign for re-election Tuesday in Florida. Meanwhile, other Republicans in Washington have already been busy on the campaign trail.

Sean Duffy of Wisconsin and Jim Hagedorn of Minnesota are among Republican Congressmen from the upper Midwest who are sending out fundraising letters, accusing the new Democratic majority in the House of doing nothing except trying to investigate Trump.

La Crosse Congressman Ron Kind, part of that majority, says he tries to ignore the political mailings, arguing that his party has been passing health care and environmental measures so far this session.

One letter from Duffy says “Nancy Pelosi and her cronies” have tried to raise taxes, ignored the immigration problem and “wasted millions” on a “witch hunt” against Trump.

Duffy says it’s time for the GOP to “retake the majority.”

Hagedorn says Democrats “will not move on” from the Mueller investigation.

Kind predicts that Wisconsin will be “ground zero for World War III” in the 2020 election, because the state was considered crucial to Trump’s victory.
