La Crosse’s public library has found a new director, who used to work there for many years.

Shanneon Grant will take over as head of the library on Aug. 19. She will succeed retiring director Kelly Krieg-Sigman.

Grant worked with the La Crosse library for 25 years before going to manage the Sparta library two years ago.

In a statement, Grant called the La Crosse Library a “wonderful community resource,” where there is “a lot of positive momentum.”
