Drivers die in two S. Minnesota accidents

Two drivers were killed in separate southern Minnesota accidents Monday morning.

A Holmen semi driver, Randy Gunderson, went over a bridge wall on Highway 61 and went into Trout Creek, south of Winona.

Gunderson was 64. The crash occurred shortly before 5 a.m.

In Houston County, a 75-year-old motorcyclist missed a curve near Caledonia and hit a guardrail.

David Adamek of River Falls, Wis., was thrown from the Harley-Davidson after the collision on Highway 76.

Adamek’s accident was reported around 11:30 a.m.

Both men died at the scenes of the crashes. No word on whether Adamek was wearing a helmet.
