A 63-year-old Winona man is identified as the boater whose body was found in the Mississippi River after an accident last weekend.

Searchers recovered Robert Bronk’s body Saturday, more than 24 hours after he and a second man fell out of a boat while they were fishing.

A fast current on a spillway apparently caused the boat to overturn.

The second man, from Decorah, was rescued by another boat after the accident.
