5th OWI charge for French Island driver

A French Island man is facing at least his fifth drunk driving charge in a La Crosse County court.

Online records show that 47-year-old Charles Hotchkiss was granted a signature bond after an arrest on Monday.

Hotchkiss also has another open case in the county, facing charges of battery and domestic abuse following an arrest in November.

That case could be dismissed if Hotchkiss complies with a diversion agreement.

His 4th OWI conviction happened six years ago in Fond du Lac County.
