Coon Valley man accused of causing deadly crash near Fargo

A driver from Coon Valley could be charged with causing two traffic deaths in a Minnesota car crash.

Justin Helgeson of Coon Valley reportedly ran through a stop sign Friday morning at an intersection in western Minnesota, near Moorhead.

Helgeson’s pickup crashed into an SUV, killing a man and woman from Moorhead in that vehicle.

Both victims were 62 years old.

The state patrol says the 26-year-old Helgeson was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The crash is still being investigated, and alcohol is not considered a factor.
