Bond for repeat drug offender set at $25,000

Drug suspect Jack Taylor is facing five new criminal counts after a drug search at his George Street apartment in La Crosse this week.

Taylor is jailed under a $25,000 cash bond, but he tells the court that he doesn’t plan on ‘running’ from the area.

He’s accused of running a drug trafficking place, where more than $4000 worth of meth was found by La Crosse cops.

After Taylor’s arrest on Wednesday, city police publicly criticized the courts for releasing him after a previous drug arrest in May.

Taylor also is facing several drug charges in Minnesota.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
