La Crosse Police seek assistance in identifying gunman

La Crosse Police need the public’s help in finding a man who fired a shot into the air early Sunday morning near Who’s On Third bar on 3rd Street.

An altercation had taken place outside in the street between 36 year old Lenell D. Carter and 31 year old Andre Bell Jr

Bell was cited for disorderly conduct, and Carter has yet to be found.

During this incident, an unknown subject fired a single shot into the air using a pistol and fled the area on foot before Officers were able to make contact.

Cops located a .380 caliber shell casing near the scene.

No injuries were reported to Police.

The subject is described as Male/Black, medium build, over 6” tall and wearing white shorts, a red or orange colored shirt, white shoes and high white socks.
