Bond is set at $25,000 cash for a Chicago man charged in La Crosse County with repeated sexual assaults of the same child over a two-year period, before she became pregnant.

Bruce Nelson, formerly from Onalaska, also is accused of child enticement.

Investigators say a 14-year-old local girl had a baby in La Crosse this week, and the 37-year-old Nelson appears to be the father.

Nelson reportedly went by the name “Tone McPherson” and claimed to be 19.

Although Nelson recently moved to Chicago, he was arrested in Onalaska early in the week.

Where were the parents of the girl impregnatted by this man. I doubt it is the first time. At 14 years old, she is still a ward of her parents and should have been protected by them. Now there is a lot of pain & suffering and a child that is not wanted. There are thousands of them, and not their fault. If the schools and home do not teach right from wrong our country will continue to have this and it is very sad!!!! They are taught there is Planned parenthood, they will be your savior, and they are NOT, that is not a birthcontrol agency. they are money oriented!!!!

The parent was at work! He picked up the victim from middle school. It’s the assailants fault for breaking the law and nobody else!
