Melrose man accused of homicide in 2-month-old’s death

A Jackson County man is being accused of reckless homicide in the death of his 2-month-old child.

The girl was found dead last week at the family’s home in Melrose, Wis.

Tuesday, the father, 32-year-old Armas Cravins II, was arrested by sheriff’s officers.

Cravins could be charged with 2nd degree reckless homicide and child neglect resulting in death. An autopsy has been conducted on the infant.

No results of an autopsy have been released yet.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
