La Crosse Police investigating early morning shooting that damaged house, car

A report of a vehicle entry for the La Crosse Police Department turned into a shots fired incident after home surveillance footage was reviewed.

Police say the incident occurred in the 1200 block of 5th Avenue South early Thursday morning.

Video shows the suspect approach the victim’s car and try to remove the front bumper.

He then is observed leaving north on 5th Avenue approaching Johnson Street.

Shots can be seen being fired from the suspects vehicle.

The shots hit the victims residence on 5th Avenue South, and one round can be seen going through the victim’s rear side windows.

The suspect appears to be a male, wearing a plaid flannel-type shirt, with knee length shorts and white socks.

No injuries occurred.
