Van crashes into wall and fence at Nelson Flag

A van apparently went out of control and crashed into a wall and fence on South Avenue late Sunday morning.

The van was extensively damaged, and was overturned onto the passenger side after the accident.

At least one person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The accident happened just before noon on Sunday, with the vehicle facing south, and crashing into a fence and a sign outside Nelson Flag and Display, on the east side of South Avenue.

Traffic was diverted for a time on South Avenue, directly south of West Avenue.
