Video and GPS help track down robbery suspect
A suspect in a La Crosse armed robbery has been arrested, partly because he was wearing a GPS tracking bracelet after a previous crime.
George Goins appeared in court on Friday, where Judge Ramona Gonzalez set his bond at $25,000 cash.
Goins is accused of being one of two men who entered a home on Caledonia Street on Tuesday afternoon and robbed a woman living there.
The robbers got away with three guns and a computer.
Police identified Goins as a suspect based on a surveillance video, and they traced his GPS ankle bracelet to the approximate scene of the crime.
He was arrested on Thursday.
