Onalaska man accused of 9th OWI
When an Onalaska officer stopped a driver early Wednesday and asked how he was doing, the man said “I’m going,” and took off.
A chase along several streets in Onalaska, and onto the grass near the Legion baseball field, finally led to the arrest of Randall Horton, who’s now facing a drunk-driving charge for the ninth time.
The 56-year-old Horton was pulled over for driving with a revoked license.
He was sentenced to four years in prison after his last OWI conviction in La Crosse County, six years ago.
Horton led police on a winding chase through Onalaska, which got up to 60 miles an hour at one point.
He said he had consumed at least five bottles of Mike’s Hard Lemonade and was driving to his father’s house after locking himself out of his own house.
