Crosby bail reduced in drug case

A repeat offender in La Crosse County is getting a break on bond, a week after being sentenced to the county jail for attacking his ex-girlfriend.

The cash bond for Ronald Crosby Jr. has been reduced from $5,000, down to $1,000.

Crosby appeared before Judge Elliott Levine on Friday, in court on drug charges filed a month ago.

Last week, the 19-year-old Crosby was ordered to complete a year in jail for the assault charge, after his probation was revoked because of new crimes.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
