La Crosse burglary suspect headed to trial

A burglary suspect in La Crosse is scheduled to go on trial. 

George Goins pleads not guilty to burglary and bail jumping. 

Goins and another man are accused of entering a home on Caledonia Street this month and robbing a woman who lives there. 

The intruders took a computer and three guns from the house. 

Police tracked Goins down through a surveillance video, and a GPS ankle bracelet he was wearing after a previous arrest. 

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk."
