La Crosse Police identify gunshot victim

La Crosse Police have identified the victim of a shooting from last Saturday night.

Cops were dispatched to the 900 block of Copeland Avenue around 9:40 Saturday night for a shooting.

Police found 18-year-old Javier Ayers lying on the ground near an alley suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital but died from his injuries.
