Budget time has arrived for several local governments in the La Crosse area.

Both the La Crosse County Board and the city council have budget sessions Tuesday night, with the county session starting at 5 p.m. in the county office building.

The La Crosse city budget meeting happens at 6 o’clock at City Hall.

The city’s proposed budget for 2020 comes in at around $70 million, and that’s down slightly from the current budget.

Meanwhile, county spending may increase for 2020, exceeding $160 million.
