A charge of harboring and aiding a felon has been filed against a La Crosse woman, accused of hiding a suspect in a November murder.

Jamie Stingl has a preliminary hearing set for next week in La Crosse County court.

Investigators say Stingl has admitted to letting Shavonte Thompson stay at her residence for much of this year.

Thompson is accused of fatally shooting teenager Javier Hall in November near Copeland Park, and he has not been arrested yet.

But police believe Thompson was at Stingl’s home for some time after the shooting.
