One suspect facing charges after gunshots in north La Crosse

La Crosse police have identified one man arrested this week, after shots were fired at a north-side address. 

Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Stowell faces charges of possessing a stolen gun and marijuana, but he has not appeared in court yet on the charges. 

Police had said five people were taken into custody on Tuesday, after six gunshots were heard in the 700 block of Logan Street. 

Officers followed footprints in the snow to a nearby house on Caledonia Street. 

A search on that block turned up two handguns and an AR-15 with loaded magazines. 

No injuries were reported from the gunfire.

La Crosse Police say the number of gun incidents in La Crosse has been climbing over the last four years.

    So are we to assume that all of the guns were stolen? Be interested to see how this plays out.
