La Crosse Airport launching “Yours to Explore” campaign

The world is ‘Yours to Explore.’ 

You may see or hear that slogan frequently in the coming months, as the La Crosse Regional Airport rolls out a new marketing campaign. 

LSE marketing director Miranda TerBeest says the airport hopes to get local travelers more accustomed to using the city airport, instead of flying in and out of bigger cities.

The key target groups for the 2020 campaign include young adult leisure travelers, and people taking business trips.    

TerBeest says the airport may increase public events which draw people to the French Island facility, such as the display of World War II planes which was arranged last year as part of the airport centennial.

Organizers of the Deke Slayton Airfest recently announced they will bring that local airshow back to the La Crosse Airport in 2021, with performances by the Blue Angels flying team.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
