La Crosse man allegedly threatens girlfriend with BB gun during fight

A La Crosse man accused of threatening to kill his girlfriend with a gun is charged with intimidation and other crimes.
Prosecutors say that during an argument last week, Jared Cooper threatened his pregnant girlfriend with a BB gun that looks like a .357 revolver.
The woman says Cooper pointed the gun at his own head, and then at her, claiming he’d kill her before he’d ever shoot himself.
Cooper reportedly also broke items and flipped over a table in their home on Caledonia Street.
The district attorney recommended a $5000 cash bond for Cooper, but the judge set the bond at $250 instead.
Also in court on Monday, a 37-year-old man from La Crosse was charged with trying to strangle his wife during an argument.
David Pedrazoli also is accused of domestic battery and resisting arrest, after a fight at his home on West Avenue last week.
The victim told police that her husband choked her, and pushed her face into the bedroom wall several times.
A passing driver saw the victim walking on West Avenue wearing just a bra and yoga pants, with no shoes, after she left the house.
The driver picked up the woman and took the house of a friend, while calling police.
Pedrazoli was given a $2500 signature bond.
