Free parking for MOSES granted in downtown La Crosse
La Crosse is rolling out the red carpet again this week for visitors to the MOSES organic farming conference, and that welcome includes free parking in three downtown ramps.
La Crosse Center manager Art Fahey asked the city board of public works on Monday to approve the special parking arrangement.
The civic center and the convention bureau actually pay for the use of those ramps during the three days of the MOSES conference, which runs Thursday through Saturday.
About 3000 people attended the event last year.
In past years, it has been argued that the free parking is one factor which has kept MOSES coming to La Crosse every year.
