One year of Detroit flights has worked for La Crosse

The La Crosse airport is marking an anniversary this week, of one year since beginning regular Delta Airlines service between La Crosse and Detroit. 

When those daily trips began on March 1st of 2019, airport marketing manager Miranda TerBeest said La Crosse would have about a year to prove that there was enough local demand for the Detroit service. 

She says the numbers have been good so far, and that success has led airport staffers to look into adding other routes in the near future.

Regular flights to and from Detroit had been on the La Crosse schedule years ago, but were discontinued until the current Delta contract.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
