La Crosse gas prices drop almost 10 cents in a week
The price people are paying now for gas is almost the same as it was in early March of last year.
AAA Wisconsin says the national average for gas is a penny higher than a year ago, standing at $2.43 a gallon.
In Wisconsin, the price is down to $2.33, a drop of two cents from last week, and five cents over the past year.
La Crosse’s price of $2.36 is actually 9 cents below the price a week ago, and it’s higher than in most major Wisconsin cities, except for Eau Claire and Wausau.
The lowest gas price in the state among big cities is in Madison, at $2.26 a gallon.
