Brownsville man charged with dealing explosives

Federal explosives charges have been filed against a man from Brownsville. 

Fifty-eight-year-old Kenneth Miller is accused of making, dealing, and transporting explosive devices during a six-year period. 

Some of the devices included ‘electric matches’ to create smoke. 

Federal agents were assisted in the investigation by the Houston County sheriff’s office, the Minnesota DNR, and the EPA.  

Investigators say Miller also illegally possessed a revolver, a rifle, and a 12-gauge shotgun. 

Miller already has appeared on the charges before a federal judge in St. Paul.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area.
