UW-La Crosse announecs changes in classes due to Coronavirus
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse canceled classes the week after spring break due to concerns of COVID-19 or coronavirus.
The school has spring break next week. Classes will be cancelled March 23-27. After that, classes will be held online, before the school reassesses the situation.
Residence halls, dining services and other services will remain open as normal through spring break.
This update comes after the University on Tuesday night suspended all travel to sports teams as they head out for the National Championships in track, wrestling, and gymnastics. That ban, however, was lifted after a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
As for students considering travel, the university says students should reconsider those plans, especially if it involves areas that are known to be infected.
