Based on Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’ request to cancel all public activities, La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat withdrew the St. Patrick’s Day Parade permit for Saturday, March 14.

2020 Irish Rose and Irish Man Tracy and Patrick Mullaney said they will look for solutions to give credit for community sponsors.

“They’ve taken care of us,” Tracy said. “We will make sure everybody is happy.”

The post-parade celebration at the Freighthouse Restaurant is also canceled, according to the Mullaneys.

“The community has been supportive of all of the events and the organizations,” Patrick said. “We will work through this.”

The couple showed optimism for Irishfest to come this August.
