Winona State extends break for a second week

Spring break has just gotten longer for one area college. 

Winona State University has been on break this week, but the school is taking next week off, too.

While there won’t be any new classes at WSU until March 23rd, faculty members will still report to work as planned on Monday. 

They’re being told to spend the next week working on ‘alternative delivery modes’ for classes. 

Winona State also has suspended school-related travel out of state, and campus gatherings and events where more than 100 people are expected are cancelled, through May 1st.  

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
