UW-L teaching online for rest of semester, locking down buildings

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse will teach classes exclusively online for the rest of the semester. 

The university is on spring break this week, and had been planning to do distance teaching at least until early April. 

Wednesday, however, UW-L will be telecommuting. 

The Murphy Library and the Recreational Eagle Center will be closed for the remainder of the semester, and buildings on campus will be locked, with employees able to get in with their university ID cards. 

Students who have been living in the dorms are urged to move out, but exceptions could be made.     

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
