La Crosse County’s first COVID-19 case is confirmed

La Crosse County’s first case of COVID-19 has been confirmed, as of Wednesday morning.

The information came through the state Electronic Disease Surveillance System.

County health officials will have more information available late this morning, during a news conference at the county administrative center.

Before now, most cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin had been reported in southeastern counties.
