Senior agency requires appointments, increases meal delivery
A La Crosse County agency that helps senior citizens has been changing its activities because of COVID-19.
The Aging and Disability Resource Center has shut down its senior dining sites for now, but is still delivering daily meals to more than 200 clients.
Manager Carissa Pagel Smith says they’re not taking walk-in clients right now, but will make appointments.
The ADRC already had called off non-essential events and classes through the end of April.
Pagel Smith says about 260 clients had used the regular dining sites during January.
About 30 of those people have been switched to the home delivery list.
