Wisconsin is closing its motor vehicle offices for three days of cleaning and making changes in office space.

The DMV locations in Onalaska and elsewhere in the state will be closed on Friday, and they plan to re-open Monday with modifications to permit more social distancing.

The DMV will offer limited in-person services, by appointment only, to issuing ID cards and new drivers licenses.

But if you show up at a DMV office without an appointment, you may be asked to wait until a service employee is available.

To make an appointment, customers can use an on-line guide: wisconsindmv.gov/DLGuide.
