COVID-19: La Crosse County confirms two new cases, two hospitalized

The La Crosse County Health Department on Tuesday afternoon confirmed two more cases of COVID-19.

One is a male in his 50s experiencing moderate symptoms, and the other is a man in his 40s who is hospitalized. He has an underlying medical condition.

The department said it had completed 460 tests as of March 29.

More data from the 19 cases was also released — 78% of cases are those under the age of 60, 55% of cases live in La Crosse, and 52% had been to a chain store 48 hours before experiencing symptoms.

Jacqueline Cutts, who led the briefing, also expressed the importance of checking in people as these times might be difficult for mental health.
