No new cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County; 12 of 19 cases have recovered

Positive news from the La Crosse County Health Department on Wednesday with no new cases reported.

The total remains at 19, and 12 patients have now recovered.

Two remain hospitalized with severe symptoms but neither are in critical condition.

Director Jen Rombalski stressed teenagers should not be getting together in groups, even as classes are held online.

The topic of Easter was also brought up, with Rombalski saying services shouldn’t be held as it wasn’t an exception of Governor Tony Evers order of limiting gatherings of people.

Also that citizens shouldn’t hold Easter dinner beyond their household.

Statewide the numbers weren’t so rosy, with 1,500 cases and 24 deaths.

The Wisconsin DHS also reported that 25% of the cases have resulted in hospitalization.
