Menards bans kids under 16 to help slow COVID-19 spread

Menards is taking extra measures to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Tuesday, signs were posted outside the Menards in La Crosse that banned children under 16, as well as pets.

“We are no longer able to allow children under the age of 16, nor pets, in the store due to the COVID-19 crisis,” the sign reads.

The sign adds that service animals are still allowed and anyone that doesn’t look 16 or older will be asked for ID.

Earlier last month, the Eau Claire-based chain reduced its hours to allow for more time to clean and sanitize, though it also helps improve social distancing.

Menards is open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday–Saturday and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Sundays.
