More than two months after a Trempealeau County woman and her brother were accused of abducting the woman’s own baby, the mother could finally have a pre-trial hearing next week.

A preliminary hearing for Jessica Cleasby of Eleva is set for Wednesday, April 8 in Trempealeau County court.

Cleasby had been denied custody of her 1-year-old son Sawyer because of drug problems.

Jessica, her brother Jamey Cleasby, and the baby were found staying in a North Dakota motel in January.

Jessica was returned to Trempealeau County in late February, and she posted cash bond to be released from jail.

She could enter a not guilty plea, on a charge of interfering with custody.
