La Crosse doing well in responding to census

The city of La Crosse is urging people to answer the 2020 census. 

About 48 per cent of La Crosse residents have filled out the census on-line or by mail, and Wisconsin is 3rd best in compliance among all states for now, according to the city planning department. 

The period when people can respond to the census on their own has been extended to August 14th. 

Anyone who doesn’t fill out the census before that time could be visited in person by a census worker later.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
