26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in La Crosse County; Nine active cases

Another day, another case.

The La Crosse County Health Department for the third straight day announced one new case of Coronavirus on Friday.

It is a woman in her 50s and details remain sparse at this time.

The department also reminded that many of the 26 cases had been in grocery stores or gas stations shortly before testing positive, so you shouldn’t go out unless absolutely necessary.

They also say they are working with Gundersen and Mayo Clinic Health System to share more data and a clearer look at what’s happening within hospital walls.

Statewide in Wisconsin there are 3,068 total cases, up 183 from Thursday. There is also 128 deaths.

In Minnesota, there are 1,336 positive cases, including 94 that were announced Friday.

In Winona County there are 26 cases and 5 deaths.
