After eight years as chair of the La Crosse County Board, Tara Johnson has presided over her last full board meeting.

Because of the coronavirus, Johnson was one of just a few county leaders meeting inside an office on Monday night, while other supervisors were attending remotely by video link.

Johnson was one of five retiring county supervisors scheduled to be recognized for their service at Monday’s meeting.

The 29 supervisors chosen in the April 7th election will take office next week.
