Smith named full time Onalaska Mayor after Tuesday’s election
Interim Onalaska Mayor Kim Smith is now the full time mayor after Tuesday’s election.
Smith received 2,887 votes compared with challenger Terry Bauer’s 1,945.
Smith took over for Mayor Joe Chilsen in December of last year after he resigned citing health reasons.
She is the City’s first female Mayor and previously served as the head of multiple committees including Board of Public Works.
