One recount is planned this week in a La Crosse County board race.

The canvass board will meet Friday to recount the more than 600 votes cast in the 2nd District county board election.

Long-time supervisor Ralph Geary defeated challenger Coey Oliver by just two votes, 316 to 314.

Four write-in votes were also cast in the district.

Winners of the April 7th county board election will be sworn in next week.

The canvass board will recount the votes behind closed doors, starting at 9 a.m. on Friday.
