La Crosse hits 10 days with no new confirmed cases; Wisconsin adds 10 deaths, Minnesota adds nine, Iowa four

For the 10th consecutive day, La Crosse County is reporting zero new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

La Crosse hasn’t had more than one case in a day, in the past 15 days, totally four over that span. Of the 26 total cases, 23 have recovered, none are in the hospital.

In Wisconsin on Monday, there were 153 new cases with another 10 deaths. Totals now, 4,499 cases, 1,211 hospitalizations — 315 in the ICU — and 230 deaths. Of all the cases, 27 percent in Wisconsin end up in the hospital, but another 20 percent are unknown to the state whether they go to the hospital or not.

Milwaukee County added 51 cases and two more deaths Monday. The death toll there is now 126 from 2,193 cases.

In Winona County, after two deaths were reported yesterday bringing that total to 10, there were no new cases or deaths reported today. The total confirmed cases remains at 61.

Minnesota’s death toll grew by nine to 143 on Monday. There were 114 more positive tests, adding to the 2,470 total cases. Of those, 602 have had to be hospitalized — 237 still there today, including 126 in the ICU.

In Iowa, there were 257 additional positive test results, bringing the total to 3,159 confirmed cases. Four additional deaths were reported, for a state total of 79.
