A 79-year-old La Crosse man has died after a fight about a parking spot in the Menards parking lot.

Police were sent to Menards around 2:20 p.m. Friday, where 50-year-old Matthew Kinstler was upset that 79-year-old Russell Paulson had, apparently, parked too close to him, according to police.

A verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. From the injuries sustained, Paulson was sent to Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, where he has now died.

Kinstler was arrested and referred on charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct.

You need to add the older gentleman was the aggressor and struck the other man multiple times, as well as assaulting him with his walking device, he fell due to the man defending himself from the blow and deflecting it. This is a VERY loaded article
