Sparta PD identifies man found dead under parked truck

Police in Sparta have released the name of a man whose body was found under a parked truck on Sunday.

He was identified as Dwite Shaver, 54 years old, with no permanent address.

Investigators think Shaver was homeless, and may have been under the truck for shelter.

The cause of death is not known yet, but police say there were no signs of foul play or trauma.

Shaver’s body was found near the loading dock at Hansen’s IGA in Sparta, and he was not a store employee.
