La Crosse remains at 33 cases, while Vernon has two still in hospital from COVID-19; Minnesota hit hard again

No new cases Friday of COVID-19 in La Crosse or Trempealeau counties.

Vernon County reported its third case, a male in his 70s. Two cases are currently hospitalized.

Statewide, Wisconsin confirmed another 375 cases, along with 10 deaths.


Totals in Wisconsin: 9,590 cases, 384 deaths.
Totals in Minnesota: 10,088 cases, 534 deaths.
Totals in Iowa: 11,457 cases, 243 deaths.


For the third consecutive day, Minnesota has seen over 700 new positive tests.

The state also reported another 26 deaths on Friday — the eighth day in the past nine with 23 deaths or more.

No new cases for the third consecutive day in Winona County, which remains 68 cases, 15 deaths.

In Iowa, there were 398 new cases reported. There were also 12 deaths for the third consecutive day — the first time the state has reported double-digit deaths that many days in a row.

Allamakee County, in the northeast corner of Iowa, has now confirmed 101 cases, after another three on Friday.
