Cameron market starts for the season, after two-week delay

The farmers’ market season has started in La Crosse’s Cameron Park, two weeks later than usual, because of COVID-19.

Organizer Linda Vale says changes have been made, to minimize exposure to the virus.

Shoppers at the Cameron market will have to go in one direction past the tables, and the number of customers allowed in at one time will be limited.

There were fewer display tables on the first Friday of the 2020 market, and they were spaced farther apart than usual.

All shoppers have to enter the market area at the corner of 5th and King, across from Wells Fargo.

The weekly Cameron Park market sessions are normally scheduled for every Friday from the first week of May through the end of October.

Other markets at Bridgeview Plaza and at Festival stores in Onalaska and Holmen all have starting dates after Memorial Day.
