No new COVID deaths in Wisconsin on Sunday

No new deaths from coronavirus were reported in Wisconsin on Sunday. 

It’s the first time the state has reported a day without new COVID-19 deaths in almost two months, since March 29th. 

The death total statewide remains at 453, which is an increase of 53 in a week. 

However, 453 new cases were cited Sunday, with the statewide total over 12,543. 

No new cases in La Crosse County on Sunday, leaving the county-wide total at 45, and of those, 33 have recovered. 

In Trempealeau County there were three new reported cases of COVID-19 over the weekend — two on Saturday and another Sunday. The county now has 11 total, while Vernon County didn’t report any new cases. It remains at 10, after seeing one or two cases every day last week.

In Minnesota, there were 699 new coronavirus cases and 22 deaths on Sunday, with no new deaths in Houston, Fillmore, or Winona Counties.  

Minnesota is scheduled to lift its stay-at-home order on Monday.
